The company's founder, David Davis, began selling cars on Route 1 in Langhorne in the 1950's at his father's used car lot, Moose Motors. He worked for Volkswagen dealerships in New Jersey during the 1960's. In 1977, Mr. Davis was given the opportunity to co own a dealership- Willis Honda. He co owned this dealership until the early 2000's. Today the dealership is named Davis Honda. Mr. Davis opened Davis Acura as one of the first Acura dealers in the country in March 1987.

In 2012, Mr. Davis retired from the car business and transferred ownership to his son, Glenn Davis. Glenn began working in the Acura dealership in 1987 while attending Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster PA. Over the years he held every position at the dealership, and has earned degrees from the National Automobile Dealer Association's Dealer Academy and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
